Hapoel Tel Aviv officially signs Khadeen Carrington for three years

Hapoel Tel Aviv has completed a surprise transfer by signing Khadeen Carrington to a three-year deal. The 30-year-old guard arrives from Hapoel Jerusalem, where he established himself as one of the most experienced and reliable players in the Israeli league. The move comes as the club gears up for its second straight EuroLeague season and continues to build a competitive roster under head coach Dimitris Itoudis.

Carrington arrives at age 30 after a productive EuroCup season with Hapoel Jerusalem. In 2025/26 EuroCup play, he posted averages of 14.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists across 17 games. Over his European career, Carrington has played for Dijon, Real Betis, Monaco, Ludwigsburg, Limburg United and Mornar. He’s known for his scoring touch, physicality and perimeter versatility that adds value on both ends.

Reactions from the key figures

Carrington himself shared his excitement about joining Hapoel Tel Aviv. “I’m excited for the next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to join the club after playing against them in recent years,” he said. “The club has shown incredible growth lately and I’m happy to be part of this journey. I’m ready to get started and help bring more success.”

Hapoel Tel Aviv’s professional director George Hinas highlighted the signing’s importance for the Israeli core. “We’re happy to welcome Khadeen to our family,” Hinas said. “This is a very important move to strengthen our Israeli core, and he’s a player who can fill multiple positions. He understands what it means to wear the Hapoel Tel Aviv jersey and will undoubtedly help us succeed in domestic competitions and in the EuroLeague.”

Head coach Dimitris Itoudis also welcomed the addition, stressing Carrington’s experience and motivation ahead of his EuroLeague debut. “We’re very happy to have Khadeen with us,” Itoudis said. “I spoke with him and he understands what he can bring to the team. He has a lot of experience in the Israeli league and is excited to discover the differences between all the leagues he’s played in and the EuroLeague. We’re happy and welcome him to the team.”

Roster building continues ahead of EuroLeague return

Carrington is Hapoel Tel Aviv’s second official signing of the summer after the club previously added Amir Coffey from the NBA. The club is expected to complete more major additions soon, with Zach LeDay and Tamir Blatt among the names linked with a move to Tel Aviv. Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv has already secured the futures of several key players by extending contracts with Elijah Bryant, Antonio Blakeney, Tai Odiase, Dan Oturu and Ish Wainright.
