Hapoel Tel Aviv BC has signed veteran NBA player Patrick Beverley to their roster. Beverley, who played for the Milwaukee Bucks last season, announced the signing on his podcast. He stated that the Israeli team offered him everything he asked for, and he couldn't refuse. Beverley started his career in Ukraine, Russia, and Greece, and played for the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers between 2012-2021. He was named to three All-Defensive teams, including a first-team nod with the Rockets in 2016-2017. Hapoel Tel Aviv BC, which was founded in 1935, had a successful season last year, finishing in second place in the Israeli Premier League with a record of 18-6. The team also signed three-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Nate Robinson in 2016. Beverley would have started the next NBA season serving a four-game suspension after hurling a basketball toward two Indiana Pacers fans sitting courtside for Game 6 of their first-round playoff series. He also refused to answer ESPN reporter Malinda Adams during an interview, as she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast. The two actions earned him a four-game suspension heading into the 2025 season.
